Human Resources for Health
Many developing countries lack sufficient numbers of trained health personnel and/or personnel of a sufficient quality. A lack of knowledge, training, resources and efficient referral systems combined with stockouts and inadequate or irregular salaries can lead to frustrations which compromise patient outcomes. These factors influence health workers' motivation and job satisfaction which, in turn, affect quality of care.
